President – Shri. Sandeep Rukmini VitthalKasalkar
Shri. Sandeep Kasalkar, the founder and President of CPJA, is a visionary leader who has dedicated his life to the cause of media rights and press freedom. With an extensive background in journalism, activism, and media policy, Shri. Kasalkar has been a strong advocate for journalists’ rights and is committed to creating a safer, more empowered environment for media professionals.

Under his leadership, CPJA has made significant strides in supporting journalists’ rights and ensuring their protection in the face of growing challenges in the media industry. Shri. Kasalkar’s approach is characterized by fearlessness, fairness, and a deep sense of responsibility toward the media community.

National Spokesperson – Shri. Arjun Vyas
Shri. Arjun Vyas is the esteemed National Spokesperson of the Central Press Journalist Association (CPJA), a respected educator, and a prominent figure in the world of Sanskrit. Known for his profound knowledge of Sanskrit and his commitment to preserving and spreading the language, Shri. Vyas has earned recognition as a renowned teacher who has dedicated his life to providing free education to individuals across the globe.
Shri. Vyas is not only a teacher but also a philanthropist with a vision to make Sanskrit accessible to everyone, irrespective of their background or geographic location. His mission to educate has impacted countless individuals worldwide, as he continues to offer free online and offline education, ensuring that the timeless language of Sanskrit remains alive and relevant in today’s world.

In his role as National Spokesperson of CPJA, Shri. Vyas brings his visionary leadership, communication skills, and dedication to the media community. His unwavering commitment to education and empowerment extends beyond the classroom, and through CPJA, he advocates for the rights and welfare of journalists, ensuring that their voices are heard on national and global platforms. Shri. National Head – Special Investigation Team (SIT) Wing
Shri. Jithesh Mundyeth Patathari

Shri. JitheshMundyethPatathari serves as the National Head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) Wing under the Central Press Journalist Association (CPJA). A committed truth-seeker and fearless journalist, Shri. Patathari is known for his sharp investigative acumen and unwavering dedication to uncovering facts that matter.

With a strong background in field reporting and investigative journalism, Shri. Jithesh has played a key role in exposing critical issues, corruption, and injustice—often at personal risk. His approach combines ethical journalism with deep research, making him a respected figure in the journalistic community.

As the National Head of SIT, he leads a team of highly skilled and dedicated journalists from across the country who are tasked with conducting in-depth investigations, fact-checking sensitive cases, and upholding journalistic integrity at the highest level.

Under his leadership, the SIT Wing of CPJA has become a powerful pillar of accountability and truth, reinforcing the association’s mission to protect press freedom and deliver fearless journalism in the public interest.

National Secretary –Special Investigation Team (SIT) Wing
Shri. Shailesh Sinha

Shri. Shailesh Sinha is the National Secretary of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) Wing of the Central Press Journalist Association (CPJA). A senior journalist with a strong reputation for ethical reporting, coordination, and investigative integrity, Shri. Sinha has been a consistent voice for media transparency and accountability.

With years of hands-on experience in both regional and national journalism, Shri. Sinha is widely respected for his discipline, clarity in communication, and a strategic mindset that aligns perfectly with the demands of investigative journalism. His ability to bring together reporters from different parts of the country and channel their efforts towards impactful investigations is one of his key strengths.

As the National Secretary, he ensures smooth coordination between state-level SIT units and the central leadership, managing internal communication, documentation, and investigative follow-ups. Shri. Sinha is also instrumental in maintaining ethical standards and encouraging young journalists to adhere to fearless, fact-based reporting.

Vice President- Shri. Kamlesh Gaikwad

Shri. Kamlesh Gaikwad, our Vice President, is a highly respected figure in the media world with years of experience in both journalism and media advocacy. His contributions to CPJA have been instrumental in shaping its growth and strengthening its mission to protect journalists.

As Vice President, Shri. Gaikwad works alongside the President and the rest of the leadership team to coordinate strategic efforts, drive CPJA’s initiatives, and ensure that every journalist has the support and platform they need to succeed. His leadership is guided by a deep understanding of the challenges faced by journalists and his dedication to providing them with the tools and resources they need to thrive.

Secretary – Shri. Nagesh Deshmukh

Shri. Nagesh Deshmukh, the Secretary of CPJA, plays a crucial role in managing the internal operations and communications of the association. With a strong background in organizational management and media advocacy, Shri. Deshmukh is committed to ensuring that CPJA functions smoothly, effectively communicating with members, and implementing the association’s strategies.

As Secretary, Shri. Deshmukh’s primary responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day activities of the association, maintain seamless coordination between various departments, and assist in driving the association’s goals. Central Decision-Making Body
